A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling error. The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be rectified by using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot forward incoming emails to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox easily if you have a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet exceptionally easy to use, and it will enable you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will allow you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not want this feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
